Who manufactures the cells and storage racks in the 1340 NMC KORE Block system?
Battery cells and storage systems utilized in the 1340 NMC KORE Block system are engineered and manufactured by KORE Power. Our vertically-integrated manufacturing structure provides complete control of the entire project, from cell manufacturing to system assembly, installation, and asset management.
Why does the 1340 KORE Block System use NMC battery cells?
NMC cell technology offers top tier energy density, making the K155 cell and P1 storage rack system ideal for deployments in small areas like urban power stations or university campuses.
Is the 1340 NMC KORE Block only useful for small-scale or minimal footprint projects?
NMC storage technology is ideal for minimal occupied space, but the 1340 NMC KORE Block system is useful for a large number of applications ranging from small microgrid deployments all the way up to grid-scale storage for utility providers and municipalities.
Will my project qualify for investment tax credits (ITC) and domestic content kickers in the US?
Yes, the Inflation Reduction Act modified the ITC and, importantly, expanded eligibility of the ITC to energy storage technology. The value of the ITC is 30% of the energy storage property’s cost if certain labor rules are met.
Additionally, there is a bonus ITC amount of 10% if certain domestic content rules are met. KORE is committed to supporting the domestic battery supply chain, and it is our intention to meet or exceed domestic content thresholds. Domestic content analyses are fact-specific and must be done at the project level. Contact us to explore tax credit specifics and how they could impact your project.
